Last nautical miles.

The last nautical miles to loop the loop were sailed yesterday in a quite turbulent wind, but under the sun!

Thanks to our crew Rocky, Lea and Mathieu for their presence onboard.

Thanks to the Lofoten and Helgeland coast to be so beautiful.

See you soon for new adventures!!

Wooden boats builders at Stadsbygd

Stopping at the small harbour of Raudberg, we visited a a traditional wooden boat factory.

The museum was officially closed. However, a young Danish trainee slipped us inside the workshop, and answered our questions on how those boats are built and sail.

Discovering that also Åfjord boats had a Nanni Diesel engine. Like l'Olonnois!

Stokkøya

Enjoying the sunset at Stokkøya...

...together with scalops and good beers at Stokkøya Sjøsenter

Sailing Værøy-Rørvik

Quite good conditions for this 180 miles long journey. North-Easterly to Easterly winds, and a relatively calm sea.

Glorious reach ;-)

l'Olonnois, moored right next to the Rorbuer (small fishermen's cottages in winter, and used by tourists during summer)

Værøy, an island South from the Lofoten Archipelago, with a very busy fishing harbour

l'Olonnois, and in the background, the wooden structures used to dry the cod fished during winter.

Welcome on-board Léa and Mathieu!

Blury arrival of our guests (it was early in the morning!)

First (quiet) sailing and first sunset

Crossing from Helnessund to Stamsund, closed hauled in 25 knots. Quite a tough crossing to the Lofoten. Fortunately at a speed of 6-7 knots, we're quickly on the the other side

Arrived in Stamsund, in the Lofoten!

Discovering the manoeuvering capabilities of the coastal express

Mountains are made to be climbed. Steep...

...but with a rewarding view

Støtt

Small harbour of Støtt, 30 miles south from Bodø. Right next to the fish delivery building, and to an excellent restaurant located in the old post office of the island.

Small walk on Støtt

Sailing from Lovund

Lovund is a recommended stop. Beautiful walk (Petter Dass' path), puffins and even a whale oberved from the hills. There seems to be an excellent restaurant as well, but we haven't got the chance to test it.
