Entre-Cotes

For our French-reading readers, and for those fond of aluminum center-boarders (Odd Erik??), have a look at this blog. And especially to the Preparation section.

Entre-Cotes is the name of the OVNI 365 that was our neighbor in Islay, Scotland. We spent a very pleasant evening with her owners, Christian and Marie Helene, who are starting their around-the-world trip that should take 10 years. It was also very nice to see how a recent OVNI (finished built March 2012) can look like, compared to our dear Olonnois which was built in the genesis of the Alubat yard in 1985!

In addition to this first blog, Marie Helene writes for children about this trip. See http://www.lililamouette.com/.

As to us, after a quite boring navigation from Islay, in a choppy sea, and winds varying in strength from 5kn to 25kn, we landed in Dublin... Howth, more precisely. And according to the weather forecast, predicting a low pressure on Ireland, leading to southerly winds and quite much sea against us, we may stay there until the end of the week... If you have suggestions of things to see in the area, you're welcome :-)

Have a nice evening!

L'incontournable Guiness Factory of course !! Et un petit tour dans le vieux Dublin avec de la musique irlandaise et une pinte de "Oyster", la fameuse bière à l'huitre ;)

Looking at the log, you have found the open space as 3.rd yacht from the end :-).
And thank you for an interesting link! My heart says Cigale 16,
my brain says Omni 365 ... and my purse says "probablility for any of these = close to zero"...

The forecast does not look promising in southbound direction, good that you are in a captial city - I guess you will find many landbased activities :-).

@Odd Erik: The spot tracker is quite accurate indeed, that's exactly where we are.
I really like the preparation section of this blog. One probably has a very different type of relationship with a boat when one has seen all the inners during building phase.

@Jean: thx for the tips! :-)
