... and rainy Dublin!

After a beautiful day in Howth on monday, we went to Dublin yesterday. Unfortunately the weather was not as good as the one from the day before and we got rain and gray sky. A very good excuse to find refuge in pubs and to enjoy local beers and food.

Strange feeling that finding ourselves in a capital city after three and a half weeks of sailing and staying at small harbors in the country side. We did not really enjoy the shopping streets, busy with tourists and noisy from the traffic. But the old Dublin with the pedestrian streets was a pleasant place to walk.

Looking for shipshandlers, we went as well to the surroundings of Dublin. Beautiful houses hidden behind walls and facing the sea... no doubt, rich people have good taste :-)

As for today, Wednesday, the weather and the stormy south wind outside "force" us to stay in the harbor... luckily, there is plenty of maintenance to do and enough restaurants and pubs in the city so we will not get bored! We are planning to leave again on Saturday or Sunday, sailing south to Waterford or maybe even straight to Spain.
